New Cutting Edge Nail Cure
A new painless procedure is now available for the treatment of fungal nails in the UK.
This breakthrough technology was first introduced at the American Podiatric Medical Association annual conference in Hawaii August 2008 and over the last eight months has been used on thousands of patients in the US, the treatment is known as the impulse pinpoint laser treatment.
Clinical trials have shown the one off treatment to be 88-90% effective. The treatment has recently been approved by the American The Food and Drug Agency which is part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, responsible for regulating and supervising the safety of foods, dietary supplements, drugs, vaccines, biological medical products, blood products, medical devices, radiation-emitting devices, veterinary products, and cosmetics. It has more recently been given a EU 'CE' mark for the treatment of fungal nails.
This new patented laser technology kills thepathogens that cause toenail fungus (Onychomycosis)
The gentle laser light works through the nail.
It has no side effects other than a gentle heating of the nail.
Does not harm the nail or skin.
Painless - no anaesthesia needed
Usually only one treatment required
Shoes and nail polish can be worn immediately after treatment
How does the laser work?
This patented laser is specially designed to shine through your toenail and destroy the specific pathogens embedded in and under your nail causing the infection. The Foot Laser operates in the very tight spectrum of near infrared light. Unlike CO2 lasers of the past, this laser safely destroys the fungi, moulds and bacteria that often cause onychomycosis.
Is this laser painful?
The gentle laser light beam has no effect on healthy tissue. There is no discomfort associated with the treatment during or after. This treatment does not harm or affect your activity in any way.
Does it really work?
In the first clinical study, earlier this year, 88% of the treated patients grew out a normal looking nail after one treatment. After the one treatment, the nail plate should grow out normally in 6-12 months if there is a healthy nail bed. This result is generally superior to the success rate for the oral medications, which are taken for three or four months or six months with risk of side effects. Is this treatment safe?
In general there are no age or health restrictions or limitations. However this treatment is not always possible if you suffer from diabetic neuropathy or certain types of vascular disease.
In clinical studies there have been no adverse reactions, injuries, disabilities or known side effects. As you may know, the use of the medication available today for treatment of fungus toenails, carries with it possible systemic involvement (commonly the liver and kidney). This laser does not!
The 'before and after' images below were taken three months apart. They show the typical result that you should achieve. The nails seen below will continue to improve because the average great toe can take up to twelve months to grow out.
How much does it cost?
The treatment costs £600-£800. Usually only one treatment is required.
We offer 0% interst free credit. Details are available on request.
